At 3BM we try not to geek out too often but now again little pieces of technology come along that we just love. We are all Apple converts and all have various versions of the iPhone. So we were keen to find out what Apple had in mind for the next installment of the iPhone. Yesterday Steve Jobs announced the iPhone 4 at WWDC at it has several enhancements that make it a great mobile device.

• Retina Display – 4 times as many pixels as the current iPhone which should give a sharper and more crisp viewing experience
• Face Time – Apple attempts video calling. iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 over a wi-fi network. Looks cool but will take time to catch on.
• HD Video recording. This looks really cool and caught our eye at 3BM. 720p HD video that can be edited on the iPhone using a new iMovie app!
• 5 Mega-Pixel Camera – About time too!

Capacity of the iPhone will come in 2 versions 16Gb or 32GB Flash Drive and will come in two colours – Black or White. The launch day for the US is 24th June but no date set for the UK yet. Usually though it happens around mid July.
